ABOUT: Harlan’s Serenity Foundation was born from lived experience. Every board member has either gone through addiction recovery themselves or supported a loved one through it. That shared understanding drives everything we do. This work is personal. Harlan Chris Squier found long-term recovery—six years—through wilderness therapy. Research shows significant mental, emotional, and relational improvements in young people who complete wilderness or residential programs. ABOUT: Daphine Jack, a veteran parole officer, founded Prevention Zone in 2016 with a vision to motivate youth to focus on positivity despite societal challenges. She started with Young Men Gathering, a program for boys aged 13-21, which evolved into Young People Gathering in 2019. Driven by a passion for criminal justice and wrongful conviction advocacy, Daphine established Prevention Zone Inc as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 2019. ABOUT: Heroes To Heroes provides spiritual healing and peer support for American veterans who have attempted suicide or are on a path to self-destruction due to moral injury, the shame and guilt brought home from war. Our 12-month values-based program includes small group self-discovery and a 10-day journey to Israel where veterans of all faiths find reconnection to their Creator.
